Frequently asked questions
How is PidVoz different from a taxi?
Drivers on PidVoz are regular people who are already driving their own route. They don't earn from rides — they share fuel costs with passengers. So you can't “call” a car to go anywhere, but you can ride with someone who's going your way.
How much does a ride cost?
PidVoz is completely free for drivers.
Passengers pay the driver for the ride — in cash or by card, whichever suits you. You see the price before you send a request.
On top of that there's a small PidVoz service fee — 10% of the ride price (minimum 4.99 UAH).
Can I negotiate the price?
Yes. When you send a ride request, you can name a price that works for you. The driver sees your offer and decides whether to accept. If they do, that price applies to your trip.
It works the other way too: a driver inviting a passenger can suggest their own price.
Where does PidVoz work?
You can create a route in any city in Ukraine. Right now most co-travelers are in Kyiv and its suburbs — Bucha, Irpin, Vyshneve, Brovary, Boryspil and more.
How do I become a driver?
Download the app, sign up, and add your car and documents. Create a route and PidVoz will show you passengers going your way. You can also invite a passenger yourself.
Can I be both a driver and a passenger?
Yes. Today you give others a lift; tomorrow, while your car's in the shop, you find a driver for yourself. All in one account.
Can I ride on a regular schedule?
Yes. Create a route once — say, every weekday at 8:00 — and it repeats on its own. Plans changed? Cancel a single date, this and all following ones, or the whole route.
Is it safe?
Everyone signs in with a phone number and has a profile and rating. The PidVoz team reviews drivers' documents. During the trip you see each other on the map, and if anything's wrong, message our support on Telegram.
What if there's no one on my route yet?
Create your trip anyway. As soon as a driver going your way shows up, we'll send you a notification.
